It started last month. My boss give me a small task, completely irrelevant to what I do. I didn't mind, and did the task as a gesture of good will. But now he is giving me these "small tasks" on a weekly basis, all completely irrelevant to my job, and I'm getting overloaded with the work.
What do in this situation /biz/?

Depends on where you live. In certain places you are expected to that shit with a smile or they fire you and get a new wagie slave out of the thousands squating by the door.

You do a fantastic job at it. Every task done to perfection. Make sure NO ONE ELSE at work can do it as well you can.
Once you're sure you have him totally reliant on you / would take ages for him to hire someone new and retrain, you say you're going to leave for more money.
If he can't match it or increase, fuck it leave anyway.

Outside of certain rigidly structured career paths such as public accounting, most companies will recognize your efforts and give you a raise/bonus without you having to threaten to leave.
