Bitshares has it's own decentralized exchange and they've got a currency pegged at 1$ usd called bitUSD. It's basically the same idea, just on a DEX and not on bittrex and using tether

Yeah, I think were working off the same idea. The new waves usd token was the only way I knew, but I'm sure this one on bitshares is good as well.
However you do it, it is nice to have an option to escape the massive volatility some days. It could prove useful to know how to do this on Bitshares as well as Waves.
