I'm an econ major. The efficient market hypothesis state that the august 1 uncertanties have already been accounted for, thus nothing's going to happen

the august 1st decision isn't even certain yet so how can you know
the miners can signal bip 148 tomorrow and we're all going to lamboland
what they most likely will do is signal segwit2x and delay the upgrade further

I think bitcoin is going to go corporate and it'll ruin it's principals with segwit2x
the price will probably still go up but so will the price of a decentralized alt similar to bitcoin, I'm hoping for vertcoin but we'll see
