hi gents.

Just letting you know about credits.

It's new, and CPU only mineable.

download the wallet at crds.io and open that fucker up.

type setgenerate true *number of cpu cores* to start mining.

it launched literally yesterday and should be on buttrex soon.

free money at this point, literal ground floor.
>>
>>2506199
Thank you based anon

If you have problems with the website, you can download the wallet here:

make sure you choose the right one for your CPU/OS

I should add, you type 'setgenerate true' in the debug console of the wallet.

When I trype setgenerate I get this:

setgenerate generate ( genproclimit )
Set 'generate' true or false to turn generation on or off.

Generation is limited to 'genproclimit' processors, -1 is unlimited.

See the getgenerate call for the current setting.
Arguments:

1. generate (boolean, required) Set to true to turn on generation, false to turn off.

2. genproclimit (numeric, optional) Set the processor limit for when generation is on. Can be -1 for unlimited.
Examples:
Set the generation on with a limit of one processor

> credits-cli setgenerate true 1
Check the setting

> credits-cli getgenerate
Turn off generation

> credits-cli setgenerate false
Using json rpc

> curl --user myusername --data-binary '{"jsonrpc": "1.0", "id":"curltest", "method": "setgenerate", "params": [true, 1] }' -H 'content-type: text/plain;' http://127.0.0.1:31050/

(code -1)

What do?
>>
>>2506693
Same, eternally connecting to peers, 0% synched.
>>
>>2506649
Interesting. When you type "getmininginfo" is "generate" : true?

If not the full command is "setgenerate true #"

Could try to setgenerate false then try and set it to true again. Also you can type "setgenerate true -1" It's a valid command. Try the slack if none of that worked.
>>
>>2506712
generate is indeed true.

The command I typed is the one you just have.

Yo yo bro I figured it out! I hope you're still here.

You need to go into the console and type

"addnode 45.63.116.49:31000 add"

Just Under 20 coins a day average, but hashrate is increasing every second so it'll be less an hour from now most likely.

>>2508044
basically your contribution makes up .3% of the network power, and according to basic statistics that means that over time you should average 3 blocks per 1000.

Then we know from the website that there is based on the difficulty, 675 blocks mined per day.

(3 blocks mined/1000 blocks minted)*(675 blocks minted/day) = 2.025 blocks mined per day. But because the hashrate will change and you probably won't be that lucky you should conservatively expect a block a day, and if you're lucky you may get 2 or 3 in a day.

PATIENCE

you're solo mining, it's about luck more or less, but will even out over time. You may find two block in a row, you may not find a block for a week, you may find one per day.

Just remember - 1 block = 10 coins. 100 mil coins total by 2036. Difficulty will rise exponentially (as will the price hopefully).

Pool mining will make rewards more consistant, but, as I said earlier on, it's only been around for one day.

You're running the wallet. There are no web wallets yet. This coin just started on saturday.

Like I said above, it's brand new. it's not traded on any exchanges yet. But I'm sure it will be. Just continue to mine if you want, eventually we'll see it traded on an exchange. I would definitely hang on to it though instead of selling it right away. You may just regret it.

There need to be transactions to verify in order for POW to happen, perhaps they're being distributed now for that purpose? It is very new after all.. Maybe they're being distributed and burned to get the ball rolling? Who knows. Maybe have a conversation with one of the developers about it?

I'm open to any proof of ill intent.

It brings nothing to cryptocurrency, this should be discouraged. Just another one of the 800 shitcoins that will never be used for anything except pump and dumps.

This guy:
>>2509386
understands it.
And they put it together with a coin making program, didnt make it themselves. If coins were distributed more evenly then you could assume the devs are honest. But as they are held mostly by devs, the coin is a cash grab.

So has anyone here actually managed to mine something yet? As it's new, im thinking it should be a lot quicker than other coins?

The developer of this project has simply cloned Dynamic (DYN) and changed a few numbers. That does not necessarily mean that this project is a scam, but it does mean that the "developer" could receive a huge payout from his relatively large pre-mine for what amounts to maybe an hour or less of real work.

Here is Dyanmic (DYN):
https://github.com/duality-solutions/Dynamic

And here is Credits:
https://github.com/Credits-CRDS/Credits

The only difference between Credits and Dynamic (DYN) is that fl0d3v will be in possession of 475,000 Credits. He claims that some arbitrary portion of this will be used for bounties, and maybe it will, but at the end of the day he will always hold the single largest proportion of the available supply, and all he has done is copy-paste.

You investing in that? I was thinking about it. Even if they can't carry through on their claims, the hype alone should be enough for some easy gains.
>>
>>2510007
I almost keked and then realized I didn't crop out my tabs. Yeah I'm gonna dump maybe 2 eth into it.

I wrote some shit for my friends but here's a quick reason why for me:

Tenx is 1/350 eth which, is roughly 1.03 dollars.
The token sale website says they the token sale nets 20% bonus
350 * 1.20 = 420. 1/420 = 0.00238095.... ~= 0.858 cents.
You're looking at a possible 20% baseline bonus minues any hype or shit.
I think this card/coin could be decently successful because it's got a decent amount of coverage and investors and it will be compatable with the top cryptos
This is pure anecdote, but, if my shitcoin Firstblood could moon 70% last night that was around a dollar I'm better this, with a wider use case could do at least that.
sorry for the blog post
>>
>>2510003

you get an incoming transaction if you find a block
but you have to realise that now that the difficult just went up, you might not find a block in days, this is why pools exist (not for this coin yet, apparently), with pools, a lot more people work together to find a block, and then distribute the rewards according to how much each person worked on it, even if most people didn't find the block

Oh, so I guess all those multithreaded applications for protein folding that scientists use on a daily basis forces them to replace CPUs each day, eh?
Look, I might be misinformed about this, but I'm almost 100% positive the wear that a CPU suffers, compared to a GPU, is negligible. At least empirically, the desktop machines at the lab have been holding up nicely for years at 100% (750% for 8 logical cores) usage.

You're not in a pool. You don't get shit until you mine a coin. At 22 kH/s, you'll get 1-2 coins a day maybe at your hashrate and the current difficulty.
