how long did you hold? if you held for over a year you pay long term capital gains tax, usually being 0. if you held short term (less than a year) you pay within your tax bracket. you're probably looking at 15% capital gains tax unless you're making over 30 grand a year. fill out a 1040 d when tax time comes and log your two transactions and that's it.

It was short term and I realize my mistake now. I sold a portion for less than 1k usd. I made multiple purchases but will calculate by the FIFO method to realize the gains. Thanks
