Been watching this coin for the past 2 months. It is finally shifting gears.
The aim is to build a decentralised internet on dedicated hardware. Censorship is not possible since it will not be using ISP infrastructure which is controlled by govt/corps. Skycoin is basically used as your internet bill: pay the people who operate infrastructure.
It is not blockchain, no mining. It uses its own consensus mechanisms and frameworks. This is Iota tier and beyond.
It has been in development for 4 years. The people working on it are early bitcoin adopters, and very secretive. Bitcoin was created to replace centralised finance but it has failed. This is their attempt to try a different tack.
The next iteration of their product is coming out soon, attempts at marketing are beginning (they have been AWFUL at this), and they are in contact with non-shittier exchanges to get the coin listed.
This will be my only shillpost. Do your research!

lel just came on /biz/ to see if anyone was talking about this. Several crypto asset traders on twitter have been talking about $SKY, saying it is about to break out after the accumulation phase which is pretty much done now.
Interested to know more about the coin though since I know nothing about it, and Cryptopia is a horrible exchange to trade on so I'm sceptical.
