I thnk they're going to release a separate coin for it. They put a pic of marketing-style image of "Obelisk" in their slack. Wish I could post it but I didn't save the image. Probably will still be there if you go check.
>implying I don't already hold siacoin
Mate I'm not here to fuck around
I'm 30% in sia with 600 sat average. I hope you faggots don't kek me this time.

Making separate coin for that doesn't make sense.
>>2492365
file sharing, wow i can do that for free on dropbox, google drive, onedrive, or through any p2p client, or by downloading a torrent
such a breakthrough in technology..... :|
Siacoin isn't worth anything.

I don't understand the value of decentralizing cloud storage: The Post
The problem with sia is that it can easily be replicated and customers won't have any loyalty to them. They just will go with what's cheapest.

You may be able to on an individual level but if you're a corporation that has to pay $20 per MB for extra storage, siacoin is a blessing.
>>2492365
do you want (((them))) to shut it down? because that's how (((they))) shut it down

Theres no doubt that Sia is the future for online storage.
what happens if someone "buys out" sia? like if dropbox or amazon wans to purchase it for a large sum. would that make the price skyrocket? or would that kill it

What is Dropbox enterprise?
My friend uses it for his start up to back entire hard drive images no problem, will that cost less than 15€ a month with sia?

I want a cheap way to back up 2tb of media so I can use cheap used hard drives without worrying about failure. sia allows me to do this. That's about $6/mo vs $20/mo.

Sia is open source
They could start their own sia for free
