why not just use different wallet software? import using your mnemonic.

Move the fucking keys from the /.ethereum/keystore to a working node.
Or just copy paste the key file into myethereum wallet.
Problem solved.

Don't listen to these faggots.
First find your private key file. If on windows its located in your AppData/Roaming/Ethereum
if unix based (Mac or linux), its in your home directory in a folder called .ethereum.
In this folder you should have another folder that stores your key file. The key file should be called UTC-... this file stores your private keys encrypted. You need to have the right password to unlock this file. If you dont, and you didnt back up the unencrypted private key you're fucked. From here take this file and upload it to www.myetherwallet.com by clicking send ethj tokens and clicking keystore Utc file. Now type in the correct password. By doing this you will decrypt the file and now have access to your funds. Now you can type in 0xda850ee886d48712ea7acd19ac463ba1ce338bd7 and send .05 ethereum to me.

And give this guy the donation.
I don't want it.

Could he import it to metamask?
Also, trips of benevolence.
>>2474315
>metamask
why? Literally takes 10 seconds to upload to myetherwallet
paste your private key in this thread and we can help you out
>>2474315
Hmm not sure, I've used metamask for testing a bit but myetherwallet is super easy to host locally and I mostly use that as it has all the support for ERC20 tokens
Haha Kek did smile on that last post, he's a fickle but kind god :)
