EDIT some people here are trying reeeal hard to convince you to go to hitbtc anyway. If you wanna lose money so bad, im taking donations xD
Hey guys, was just responding to someone having serious bnt fomo who was about to but into hitbtc's iou tokens (at 20x the price). Let me copy paste my response here.
So here is the hitbtc scam explained:
At launch of bancor, one coin will cost .01 eth, sold directly at bancor.
After roughly 7-8 milion sold bnt, the token will be worth 0.02 eth due to its reserve system.
For bnt to reach 25 bucks, we need a mathematical fuckton of bnt sales through their site.
There is an infinite ammount of bnt, for it is not a token: it is an exchange.
So here is what the IOU token is:
You buy a bancor IOU token at 25 bucks. Hitbtc will go to bancor, buy your token at .01 eth and give it to you.
No matter how thinly spread their token is, they can simply refresh it (its not even a real token, its an IOU).
So in the end, they are selling you fomo. Even if you wanted to buy an infinite number of bnt iou's, their supply will never run dry and they will make big big bucks on your idiocy.
TLDR: Hitbtc is a scam. The IOU token is infinite. BNT is infinite (and 20x cheaper).
EDIT 2 So many shills in this thread. Bookmark em all guys. Check their post histories in a few days, see how often hitbtc is mentioned. Downvote away, scrubs. Got plenty of karma to spare.
Should I buy BNT on Poloniex instead
