This will go 500-1000% in the next month. Screencap this post.
>>

>anyone wanting to change their browser

Even if they wanted privacy, what's wrong with TOR?
>>
>>2467896
Hopefully a Firefox/Chrome/Edge plugin will be released eventually. I think there are some people who would get on board with non-invasive advertising if they got paid a little bit for it.
>>
>>2467912
firefox extension will almost certainly happen within a couple months, Brave's good though. I switched from waterfox to it.
>>
>>2467890
so you are saying a ethereum token that is supposed to be used to tip sites for blocking its ads is going to be worth thousands? heh
>>
>>2467896
It's slow and kikebook hates it.
But I don't know why people would want BAT too.
>>
>>2467929
At 5x you'd only be looking at around $1, also ads can clearly pay out fractions of a BAT, its not as if they have to pay out whole BATs.
>>
>>2467959
These neets don't understand. It's okay. We'll see what happens in 6 months and this is a top 10 coin.

>thinking a real coin with real developers won't be a top 5 coin. LOL HAVE FUN NOCOINERS!
>>
>>2468049
There's currently no token based coin in the top 10, so gl with that.
>>
>>2468123
Golem was number 10 for a while. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
>>
Advertising is one of the engines behind internet (amongst commerce, intelligence, and porn).

If B. Eich pulls this off, returns in the hundreds and thousands of % are very possible.
>>
>>2468181
To the company. Those coins you bought are goings you're going to donate to Nike, coors light, Adidas, etc.
>>
>>2468181
This.
>>
>>2468214

I have a friend that runs a decently high-traffic website for downloading electronic music remixes for free. Most of the user-base are dj's from Europe.

The content is not explicitly illegal (a bit of gray area), but Google will not let him to monetize through ads.

He knows jackshit about crypto, but the BAT whitepaper offers exactly what he's been waiting for for the past 5 years.
>>
>>2468700
This will be a $10b market cap crypto in a year.
>>
>>2468700
Wrote this as one of the examples why i invested in the token. If a normie-friend is literally salivating over the use-case of a currency it is a fine signal. There has to be a good bunch more out there.
>>
>>2467912
Of all the things I would like to be paid for, browsing is one of them.
>>
>>2468781
That's a great way to sell it.
So many people spend way too much time staring at their browser.
Why not get paid for that time?
>>
>>2468855
Anyone who likes crypto should be into this, no matter how you spin it FREE sells. I do google surveys on my phone and make a few dollars a month, this is just as legit.
>>
Shit it went to 0.40. Motherfucker it's one hell of a pump.
>>
BAT seems to actually have a solid idea behind it, which is more than you can say about most shitcoins. Also a couple big names attached to this one, which should help bring in the normies.
>>
>>2468700
Can you elaborate please?

How will your friend monetize his website with BAT exactly? How does it work?
>>
>>2469504
>>2468700

I am curious too. As far as i understand Brave blocks ads and displays ads publishers pay user to watch. How does the owner of the site gets money?
>>
>1 month old coin

Sign me up for a room in Gain City, boy.
>>
>>2469504
>>2469527
Are you guys serious? Have you looked at this at all beyond /biz/?
Most of the BATs will go to the publisher, some will go to the user
>>
>>2469659
No, I haven't. Why do you think I'm asking such a basic question?

I'm not a fan of ETH, neither of ICOs.

So yeah, although I use brave, BAT was not my top priority of research due to the above reasons.

Now, where can I read more?

>>
>>2467896
normie here. tor is scary and confusing.
>>
>>2467890
With a billion BAT in circulation it would require a market cap bigger than Bitcoin or ETH for it to go that high.
>>
>>2469905
BAT has a 200 million market cap.
Bitcoin has a 40 billion market cap.
1 billion market cap is not unrealistically to Bat, it would make it similar to IOTA for example.
That would be a 500% increase, so OP is not exactly dreaming.
>>
>>2467890
Why would this ever catch on?
>>
>>2468181
Yeah but this doesn't ad any value to advertisers and is more annoying to consumers.
>>
>>2470096
Because people will get paid to browse the internet.
>>
>>2470121
>more annoying to consumers

You will be able to choose if you don't want to see any ads at all or get paid to see them. How's that worse than what we have now?
>>
>>2470239
So instead of paying one person firms will have to pay multiple parties. Yeah this will definitely catch on.

Its also prone to some of the most retarded abuses ever. Make a bot that watches shitty ads and take in some tokens (that may have value?). Alternatively normies will just elect to not ever view ads, because the reward for doing so is practically nothing. So now firms can't even get their products exposed.
>>
>>2470287
>Make a bot that watches shitty ads and take in some tokens

Technology to detect such behavior is ancient, anon.
>>
So, if I'm understanding this correctly. The advertiser buys BAT tokens, and then uses those tokens to run an advertisement (presumably targeted in some way), and pays out some of the tokens to people who opt in to see the ads, and some tokens to the host of the site (content creator). Interesting idea... I assume you need to use the Brave browser for this to work.
>>
>>2470287
Funny that your bot idea could be used in the current system, yet it is not causing any problem at all.

I like the fact that you are trying to find flaws, that's actually pretty important to do. But you are not successful yet.
>>
>>2470350
For the sake of argument lets say that its 100% impossible for anyone to make a bot that'll do this.

Two monitors. Shitpost on 4chan as always and click ads in another. This is still assuming that watching ads is going to even be worth your time and effort.
>>
>>2470421
There are sites that pay you to view ads RIGHT NOW.
Why aren't you doing this RIGHT NOW?

God, you're like those people that say 'if it worked, everybody would do it", yeah, if going to the gym worked everybody would do it and be jacked.
>>
>shitcoin up 50%
>expect me to buy after the pump

Maybe ill buy a few when it gets back in the 6k range
>>
>>2471169
>Why aren't you doing this RIGHT NOW?

Cos he's a dumb nocoin faggot.
>>
>>2470355
There's extensions being made for firefox and its forks as well. Supposedly for Chrome too but I'd expect those to be taken down immediately from Chrome store.
>>
Is it going to be exclusive to that meme browser?
>>
NOBODY is going to use this SHITTY BROWSER. Mac users doesn't even use something other than safari and fucking windows users always install CHROME. Normies will never know that brave shit exists.
>>
>>2472117
This desu. The idea is great but I cant imagine what could stop google from making their own ad coin once cryptos are legally a thing.

I like the fact that you are regurgitating shit you've red on reddit, that's actually pretty important to do in order to shill your investment. But you are not successful yet.
>>
>>2472261
you must be 18 to post here you know?

same shit was said about google with respect to yahoo. market dominance unquestionable and established. now yahoo is a meme
>>
so I can browse the internet, ad-free or I can get paid 0.0000001 cents a page to have my browsing experience filled with advertisements - and I have to switch browsers to do it or perhaps install an addon. Yep, normies will flock to this in droves.
>>
>>2472544
"download this browser for free netflix" sign up deals are how it'll get done
>>
>>2472510
>>2472571
Seriously, google already has all the fucking data. Why bother with some meme browser that can POTENTIALLY get same data that google has right now?
