why invent ideas of businesses while you can imitate already successful businesses over seas?

this is like a 100% way to make money if the population is similar to the copied country and the biggest example is Chinese millionaires they just imitate western business that aren't available locally and make easy money

my plan after college is work and make enough money > copy a restaurant or some shit that I know the local will like based on info from the copied business

is this a viable plan or am I day dreaming
