As always, you should never invest more than you are willing to lose. I had enough money to cover the loan but it was not liquid and I thought the leverage was good.

It is an unprecedented bull market, and you can pull this stunt off.
Make sure you do your due diligence, and think your calls through.
/biz/ is great for some early warnings, but with the vast amount of money being poured there is trolling and shilling on a completely new level.

Maxed out a credit card (balance transfer) and put it all ($8500) on ETH at the end of May.
Have doubled my money.
So do the math: borrow at 8% annual interest, 100% gains in less than 3 weeks. Yeah that's a good deal.
I invested into Litecoin because i believe
basically 8/1 is the deadline for BIP148 activation on the BTC blockchain.
"Well the basic story is that a majority of the bitcoin nodes will try to force the miners to implement a protocol upgrade proposal called BIP148. They will try to do this to end the stalemate between the various parties in the block size debate which has stalled the evolution of bitcoin over the last year or so. Transaction fees are very high right now because of this. This may play out in a couple of different ways but basically your main concern should be a possible chain split after a fork. A chain split will result in two different tokens. This happened to Ethereum last year and it has happened to other cryptocurrencies too." -hackernoon.com
Edit: Litecoin finds itself in a great position to be moved into heavily from the BTC crowd, as it already supports SegWit + LN... Moooooon?
