So I made a youtube channel about 2 months ago and have about 175 000 views in total. How the hell did I just made 38 dollars? Granted my videos are about 1-2 minutes long but would increasing their size really affect my earnings that greatly?
Tell me your experiences /biz/

ad block killed youtube you dumb nigger.
if you want to make money you need to use your channel to sell your product directly or pimp someones product directly

lol yup. Youtube has always been a loss for google, now it's just even worse for people who want to start new when things are further stacked against them.

>low barrier to entry
>every teenager with a smartphone does it
>how the hell did I make just $38?
probably whales manipulating youtube...
I spent 3 years making heavily edited videos that all got around 100 views each, made some poorly made shit meme videos and i get around 500k views per vid netting me hundreds a month, depressing tho i used to put so much love into my videos and now i can literally make one in 10 minutes and it gets thousands of more views
Anyone have any experience selling shirts or any other kind of merch?
