Let me give you some sound advice about investing in altcoins. Are you ready?
Stop chasing gainers.
Look for coins that have a low price + low supply and haven't seen a major spike in some time, and found some stability. THEN you figure out if the platform is marketable, THEN you buy.
To determine the length you'll hold the coin:
Look at the history of the developers, are they active now? Good community? THEN read the whitepaper if you feel like you need to.
