So what do you think will happen on August 1st with bitcoin?

Will it fork or not?

And how will it increase alts? What will happen to Ethereum?

If BTC dips in market cap below Ethereum, then media frenzy of new "master coin" will cause Bitcoin to go down even further and Ethereum to jump even higher.

it's a hard one to guess
using btc as a store of value rather than a payments system sounds better to me

Remember that uncertainty in market causes dips. And dips in Bitcoin do not necceserily correlate with dips in Ethereum, quite the opposite even.

So if BTC dips even for a little while on Aug1 in market cap below Ethereum, it is officially over.

We will see "Bitcoin dethroned" articles popping up and normies will start selling BTC and buying ETH.
