i dont trust tether, not when it fucking dipped the last time because of bitfenix or whatever exchange, it is not tied to 1$, it is not stable, once shit hits the fan it will dip just as any other crypto

selling to fiat the only safe option, eth is the next best option, as it always regains its ATH very quickly, tether is for cashing out, not riding the storm with

A USD backed crypto has a legitimate application but using the actual Tether site with their KYC requirements seems like you're pretty much handing the IRS a list of taxable events. In the next few weeks, the IRS is almost certainly going to declare that altcoin transactions are not like-kind. Not sure why anyone hasn't created a stablecoin that can be exchanged on non-KYC platforms yet.
