can you redpill me on what's better at this point?
everybody says that mineable are exploitable by the chinese, should we all rely on coins hoping that the creator will not be an arsehole with them?
in your opinion what is the best strategy in distributing new premined coins?

best strategy is what byteball is doing.
And the initial distribution is free, you just linked your BTC address and depending on how much BTC you got, you get a number of byteballs.
They've done it 6 times already, once a month, and have 25% of the coins distributed.
This is a good idea because to make a coin successful you need to have a bunch of people owning it.

Is that the only way to get byteball?
I don't have any BTC ever

no
you can buy them on bittrex, and then you get 20% of that every air drop, probably at least 5 more, so you will double your byteballs, not to mention you also get black bytes.

There is no better, just different. These days, you can't do 100% mineable though, due to risks of 51% attack, so partial ICO and split pow/pos seems to be the logical step forward.
We'll see if something else comes along
