Smart elites know the debt pyramid scheme is a run towards the cliff. Twenty years ago, even ten years ago, they could hope to die before shit hits the fan. As the younger generation becomes more influential, they have to think of something else. Blockchain technology will allow more surveillance and accountability. There is no point in regulating cryptocurrencies at this stage, now that we've moved from drug money to venture capitalism for the 99%. People who win big will spend their money just as fast, all economic theory and data shows us that.

So the elite still have all the cards:
- they can buy in as it gets successful. Total crypto market cap remains a drop in the ocean compared to the trillions of dollars moved daily by the banking system.
- they can wait until the normalfags swarm the space, inevitably get burned and then scream for regulations. Much like the Internet moved from a place where you could scream nigger and faggot without any hinderance whereas now you're secluded to chans and even here some shitheads will try to police your tone, crypto will follow a similar path when the dumb money flows in. The best way to ban something is to wait for the proles to demand censorship, subtly influencing them if need be. This way you keep the illusion of a democratic system, and idiots thank you for the very actions ensuring they remain under your boot.
