The reason why is because the shill groups literally sought out every opportunity to locate these comments and collectively barrage them with "FUD, FUD, FUD, LOL HE WANTS A LOWER PRICE, STAY MAD, etc,etc"
This encouraged fanboys/idiots to do the same. I kept trying to warn people not to buy, but some people are just too stupid to understand.
