It says not to send from coinbase or any other exchanges...

I used the aeternity contribution site to generate a wallet with a key phrase... then I sent my ether from my coinbase wallet to the newly generated wallet, then I contributed my ether tokens... did I do that right or did I just blast off 30 ETH into space with no hope of getting any aeternity back?
