Op here. Posted this as a joke sort of, glad to see the responses and solid advice. I've invested a little over $10k since Jan and am sitting at 100k with little more than light weekend trading and basically holding. I'm not a trader by any means but seeing the benefits of holding has made me a beliver. First shitcoin was pivx early and held when it first dumped, missed ath but sold a little under $2. Made 10k on probably $120 investment. Held tight on advice from people like everyone in this thread. /biz/ isn't total shitcoin shill fest, the gems and lessons are there.

About 90% btc, eth, etc (I know sucks) and xmr (sucks again) but gains are solid and a few thousand here and there from holding shitcoins from ~$100 investments, buying low and selling high.

If I found solid advice on tips I'd quit my day job maybe. For now I'm good playing it low risk, will take out 15k to cover initial investment early next year, pay taxes. Taking it slow and steady, hoping to hit ~200k by end of the year and ~500k by end of 2018. Will assess what I plan on doing then, this will pay off the house and college for the kids easy.
