Do you guys use bots at all, what is your experience with them?

I wrote my own for bittrex. In 4 days i have 78% return. The most difficult part is actually knowing if my bot is profitable or if it can't fail because the market is in upswing.

My bot never sells with loss.

Go through all coins listed, get their average returns weighted by trade volume, see if you beat that?

a bot is way better at that. Doesn't sell emotionally, if no profit = HODL. From time to time i check if the coins I hodl have a future. They always rebounded until now, because the market is in upswing + I only check above a certain volume.

The real advantage is my bot can scan all coins instantly according to professional trader criteria. Would take hours if you did it manually.

I could do that, but bittrex api only goes back 24h. I need to implement prolonged data holding to compare. It's still a WIP.

I don't know anything about it other than you use tokins to get in. I've been suggested the bot a couple times before, I was more or less just asking if biz uses bots and how successful they are with them.

Anyway, even if its not above market average, its better than to have all my assets in selected coins and having to manually switch every time a coin starts to dump.

I can go hiking and come back a week later, while my bot makes crazy earnings.

No, it would take too much effort (for me) to implement, and I think thats just being greedy. Im happy with over 5% daily returns anyway without me having to break any sweat.
