Nope, until you can actually retire don't even think about retiring (which is essentially what quitting to day trade is).
What happens often is people have a good quarter and think the good times never end, or naively think they're some kind of wizard.
Truth is we are in a bull market. No doubt about that. This is literally "easy money" times of economic growth. DO squeeze as much as you can out of it. But also keep in mind that corrections WILL happen.
Sometimes, it's a big one and we call it a recession or depression and that's when things like day trading suffer. Even job security becomes a problem but you don't see your net worth shave a third before your eyes.
Tl;dr - don't quit your day job, it's a more secure income stream.
