Genesis addresses were given out semi-randomly to community members. There was no buy-in or ICO. Genesis addresses release a small amount of MNE every day that can be withdrawn into an ETH wallet. When I say very small, I mean .8-1.8 MNE.

I don't think it adds much value to the coin and I see why some people have a problem with that. However, the automated token creation service is the real selling point of the coin IMO, and the dev said they finished testing it this week.

compare to a "normal" coin. premine, buy ins, ICOs, huge allocations to the devs - like the majority of all the supply being held by the devs. we are used to that and no one ever complains. this is actually fair compared to the norm, and it won't become a market issue because the coins release so slowly.
