Sell me on Mysterium ICO.
>>
no, fuck off and do your own research. next week youll be spamming the board with WAHHH I LOST ALL MY MONEY PITY ME AND MY SHIT-TIER DECISION MAKING
>>
>>2228218
To me, it's just another VPN. I don't see anything groundbreaking. BAT and Bancor seem more interesting but everyone keeps talking about this Mysterium shit.
>>
>>2228263
Bancor is a meme. It's a shit-tier coin.
>>
>>2228281
what the fuck, why? Liquidity seems really important.
>>
>>2228281
It's a platform for others to make more shitcoins.

...therefore, its a meme to make more memes?! Mind blown.

poor ugly goy detected

People have too much confidence in this coin. All it means is the marketcap will be massive and there will be no profit potential.
>>
its shit. avoid like the plague.

specifically the part where they recommend not operating a node from home because child porn, unencrypted traffic from node to isp early on and the fucking cherry on top is how complicated it will be to use for most of you morons.

still gonna buy some though
>>

>robertas re Political dissident: I would not suggest using Mysterium at least in Phase I for such purposes. In the early phase we will be building a decentralized infrastructure (decentralized: discovery mechanism, payment mechanism, identity management, state channels, etc... ) not working much on the tunneling protocol itself. So Mysterium will not be much more safe than existing centralized VPN's, and we will recommend to use it in much lighther use cases: like conneting to your gmail account from China, but not for trying to create a revolution...
Only in later stages once traffic is shredded and sent encrypted through many nodes at once - this will become a lot more secure network, but we can't go there before the stable foundation is built...

This phase? Maybe not. Phase II (2019) when they actually make it better than a traditional VPN? Absolutely.

oh and on this note about investing later: hopefully in 2019 they'll fucking file with the SEC.

If you're a US citizen and you invest you have clearly ignored the warning saying you can't participate and you are guaranteed to be Eiffel Tower'd by the SEC & IRS THEN sent to federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison when you realize your gains (aka sell, even if you cash out into BTC/ETH - that is still a taxable event)
>>
>>2230365
wait what warning
>>
i went to their site and clicked "contribution" to find out about their crowd sale and it goes to "404"...wtf
>>
>>2230381
click Yes and see what happens.
>>
>>2230399
HOLY wtf. Guess the other 50% is going to BAT.
But that's also a scam god damn it

I'll repeat what I said in the new China thread: the BAT ICO was priced with a dip in mind. Precisely the one that (allegedly) will happen when Huobi opens ETH trading earlier the same day. While I'm not convinced that the Chinese will cause the dump I'm sure one of ETH's many detractors see the opportunity to cause FUD.
>>
>>2230399
Well shit. Is there a restriction on hosting nodes?
>>
>>2230479
No legal restrictions as far as I can tell since there's about 600 US nodes running but do you really want to deal with the feds when someone runs pizza or some other illegal shit through your node?

Also if you REALLY want to invest you can wait until it gets listed on Polo or something. Yeah you're not getting a deal but you're not running any legal risk at that point.
>>
>>2228209
It's Tor, but worse, with less lawyers, and people wanting to pay each other for SOCKS5 lists.

Hyped to the moon too
>>
>>2230414
wow never mind on that shit what faggots.
>>
>>2228209
Mysterium problems:

1) Legal liability for person running the node.

2) The person running the node can see what you do and keep logs (even less safe than trusting VPNs with no-log policy)

3) It doesn't feature TOR network.
>>
>>2230414
>VPN which people use for privacy and anonimity

>Crypto which is all about privacy and anonimity

>Hello, proud investor, please upload your passport and documents!

Guys, it would not surprise me in the least if this was an elaborate NSA honeypot.

AVOID
