I have some money in both bitcoi and etherium, both f which I plan to hold for the long run, what is the next step in my master plan (how much should I invest into altcoins, hoping for a burst and then selling back into bitcoins)

>what is the next step in my master plan

thanks
What's the safest way to store my coins if i want to invest for two years before selling them ?

Strongly suggest you only mine for fun and to understand how the decentralized blockchain networks operate. The most profitable miners in the world are in iceland where they don't have to worry about heat and in china where the government subsidizes electricity. You are 4 years to late to mine profitably. Today you are paying for coins with electricity.

Discovering coins comes from lurking and reading the crytpo news sites. Before you invest you should research the dev team, what kind of investment they have and also beleive in the future of the coin. When I started in 2013 some of the coins i invested in flopped and they aren't even around anymore. Some projects get abandoned.
But yes you should def diversify. You will get shilled hard on the board and you should not impulse buy based on recommendations you get here. Consulting 4chan financial will likely bankrupt you. That being said some people are rich from calls here. In fact the first time I heard about bitcoin was in 2011 on /b/ or /g/.

Cold storage. You can either buy a device like trazor or set up your own. I use tails os on a usb stick that I have cloned. The usb runs an operating system exclusively to hold the btc in an electrum wallet. you can clone (copy/paste) it as many times as you want and bury some or store some in a safe. You can also set up multi sig so if you have 3 usb sticks you will need 2 to move the coins.

What about altcoins not bitcoins?

Same concept just replace with the wallet of your choice. The only issue is the potential expanding size of the wallet. So you might want to look into a paper wallet and store it in a safe offline.

I have free power and Im only doing for fun desu
>>2221811
so im not very smart, but this is how it works, right?
>turn real money into some coins
>get a wallet, but coins in there
>trade/market coins
>profit
so what is the difference between coins and forex trading (for example), looks like the same stuff to me

>Strongly suggest you only mine for fun
Is pic related wrong then? Seems like a pretty solid profit for a passive income.
