My btc stockpile has taken a massive hit, I am thinking of spreading my btc to other altcoins and cash out later to get more btc when it's even lower. Is this a good idea profit wise?

From a guy who's trading mainly alts to be able to buy more btc's, I can tell you when there are big moves up or down, alts go crazy and you will only do a little more than btc gains or a little less than btc losses and that's with the right picks. It's better to use that strat on sleeping markets, like the 700->1200 run that was long and boring. Also less chances to fuck up badly.
