Direct Deposit is the most reliable method of obtaining BTC, yes. Credit Card sites take days to verify, as do bank transfers. A direct deposit can take an hour or so.

You will make that 10% back in literally 2 days.
I was in the same boat 3 weeks ago. It was the day of my last exam and I probably should've been studying but instead I got on CoinBase and bought .125 BTC for $200. I invested it in altcoins and my total portfolio value is $1500 dollars. I cashed out $485 last night just so I could feel good about my original investment. I should have over $4000 but I was an idiot the first week or so. Just get in now if possible. Only put in what you're willing to lose. That's the best advice I've ever heard.
If you would've got in yesterday you would have been up at least 25% by now since yesterday all the alts dipped.
