yes
but you gotta consider

the people buying the dip are selling the hump

thus creating

a 10% volatile-looking daily flux that scares off normie investors.

Now 10% ain't bad, but it looks a lot worse when 10% is now $20.

The people selling the hump, buying the dip: they're taking big sips, and their unruly impatient capital gains can only last so long before it starts to fuck up the meme magic of consumer fucking confidence.

/Biz/ SHOULD, if it wants ETH to keep moong, re-strategize away from buying the dip and selling the hump. We should collectivelyHODL so consumer confidence can return and more normie investors start showing up. If we keep up with the dip sips there'll be no water left.
>>

Sometimes people have thousands or even hundreds of thousands of coins just because they got in early.

Two most popular coin houses. Some whales made some big moves, everyone panicked and re-acted. Now we're all trying to login and play the dip.

Barry Silbert, the con-man that pumps ETC owns Kraken.
Kraken and Polo are both getting sued for the recent ddos market manipulation hack.

Silbert, ETC and Polo are so sketchy it reminds me of the old pump and dump days on yahoo finance during the dot com bust.

Check out their twitters and they pump all day and market manipulate their exchanges.

Last time brokers and exchanges slowed down like this was the bust in 2014. This time the rebound will be faster because Ethereum is an actual product companies program shit on.

>Regulation would be good for the crypto market. Anything fucking goes right now. It makes the stock market look honest.
The problem is too much regulation creates monopolies, because it raises compliance costs so high only the rich can afford it.
So there should be as little regulation as possible, just enough to prevent fraud.

On the other hand, a lot of people go full libertarian until their exchange steals their coin and they go crying to the government for help. Without the government to help, you either have to physically settle the problem yourself, take the loss like a cuck or rely on the mafia for dispute arbitration.

Obviously with too much government you can't innovate or do anything that challenges norms. There's a balance.

> The mafia's core activities are protection racketeering, the arbitration of disputes between criminals, and the organizing and oversight of illegal agreements and transactions

>>

>You are saying for me to get bitcoins and then convert to ETH on kraken?
Basically
You can get bitcoins and convert to eth anywhere, even shapeshift, which doesn't require an account or personal information.
The hard part is getting the bitcoin or eth with USD. It's easy to trade for another coin later. Getting it online requires a lot of personal information because it's like opening a bank and the government has to track everything.

>Would this be a good or bad time to do this?
Now is not a bad time to invest but the market is very hot. Holding bitcoin is more risky for me than eth because I trust eth's long term roadmap more.

If there's a localethcoins I would buy eth in cash. That would be immediate and not require 10 days to verify your identity and another 5 to send your ACH.

I purchased ETH thru Coinbase on Monday night. Linked to my bank account.

My price is locked in but the shit still hasn't appeared in my bank account and says it won't show until Wednesday of next week. Am I getting fucked by Coinbase? or is my bank being super cautious?
>>
>>2189025
No, but I hadn't seriously considered investing into Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency until just sometime before the drop. Obviously, if I could have gotten in before rise, I would have, but when I had people tell me about this, taking out mortgages on their home, telling me it's going to go beyond 2,400 all the way to 10,000 for no clear reason, I wasn't about to risk anything substantial.

I'll probably buy in soon though if things look like they're going to stabilize, but I really hope there's more of a panic.
>>
>>2189166
there is a bitcoin atm near me that has 7% fees. then I'd get the wallet number, input it into kraken, and then isn't there a fee for converting from BC to ETH? I think I would get ripped off that way. I don't know how long this dip will last but do you think I should go this route?

>there is a bitcoin atm near me that has 7% fees
I would definitely use that. 7% is nothing in comparison to how much Eth will rise over the weekend.

> isn't there a fee for converting from BC to ETH?
Depends on the exchange. Polo is .25% but has a withdrawal fee.

I would use shapeshift if it's a one time exchange for eth. If you want to trade more, Poloniex works well.
>>
>>2189975
FUCK ME I am going to do this! withdraw some cash, head to bitcoin atm, and use shapeshift. I hope it doesnt fall below $180 after I convert to ETH. I have $1k in savings... safe to use it or should I spend less since I am new? I want to cash out down the line
>>
If you only have $1k savings I would be very careful.
>>
>>2190105
>I hope it doesnt fall below $180 after I convert to ETH
That's the risk. Especially because the average confirmation time for bitcoin is an hour.

So you are risking bitcoin falling before you get the chance to convert it to eth.

> should I spend less since I am new?
Maybe test the process with $5 to see how smooth it goes. When you're comfortable try the rest.

People are memeing koreans because they think Samsung's backing of EEA matters. Samsung has been backing blockchain tech for years and all of the KR exchanges are horribly inflated. EEA's existence is pumping itself, not sammy's backing.

Two days back I bought 2.5k worth of Eth. I'm already regretting that I didn't buy more, because I think it will increase exponentially in the next year(s). Thinking about buying Eth for another 5-10k. How much money did you invest?
>>
>>2195511
200$

How much you think it'll grow by?
