isn't that more of a hobby than an occupation ?
like srsly asking, can you make it an actual registered job anywhere?
>>2125723
You can and you must in most countries now.. It used to be that you would not have to declare shit in Europe. I live in NL so here I basically pay no tax on my earnings (I do pay taxes when I play).
For the hobby/work thing, it started as a hobby, became a work. I am looking at getting back into a more classic occupation (self employed still) though. Poker is not really booming, the pool of player keeps on shrinking and there is not enough new blood, there are too many big players, marketing is not what it used to be, the economy not good enough... Also people kind of realized that pros are just waiting for them, especially in Cash Games.

Just to illustrate how bad the situation is, in my main room, they killed the HU tables because it bleeds the fishes to quick and the website doesn't take as much rake.

kek
had no idea about it being a legit occupation, even though I live here (allochtoon) but cool that you can

It used to be for a lot of people. If you care a bit about the game, it's all about stats, not so hard to beat. I am not myself from the Netherlands but France killed the game for pros...
I am considering allocating a part of my bankroll into crypto though, waiting for a dip in Bitcoin or some other big one, not really considering gambling on the shitcoins yet, I don't know much about the market.
