Co-incidentally did my first legit BTC transaction today, been waiting for my money for 10 hours with 0 confirmations. Fuck do I know if the sender paid any fee at all or if I will ever see the money.

From what I know the block situation has become much worse recently. Give it a year and the whole infrastructure will be on its knees. This is leaving aside the wild fluctuations. This isn't a currency you can keep with a peace of mind unless you're batshit insane.
