/biz/ was originally created as a containment board because /g/ was getting flooded with cryptocurrency threads.

Stay mad, nocoiner
Easy answered: Because we do not need a single other shitty form of business, when the gainz we make are making us rich. This is like a weird dream, where you're in a casino, but can actually win.

Better get into Stellar Lumens, because you already missed Ripple.
Or get into Ripple, too. You will see then how sweet the sensation of earning money by doing nothing is
>>
>>2086754
do you realize that post like this are ads?
"oh oh, im rich, buy the coin that i use so it will rise the price"
fuck off
>>
>>2086765
In fact no, lel
Just hit the Ripple train and made 100% profit.
But yeah, stay mad. You obviously prefer insulting strangers rather than listening to them
>>
>>2086765
I understand how it can be perceived as ads, but fucking believe me when I tell you you can make a lot of money out of this crypto game.
Shilling is done on social network and television, not in a fucking slow as shit board full of neets.

You came down the rabbit hole looking for something, this is something.

AMD is sometimes mentioned here as well.
It's recovering btw, feels good not falling for jewish tricks.

I can't wait until this irrational exuberance ends. Soon it will be socially embarrassing to say that you hold coins on this board because coins are going to crash so hard. It will be opposite of how it is now, people will shun crypto and recommend stocks. People don't realize that this pump is just as natural as the collapse that's coming, 90% chunks of portfolios will be wiped out, it will be as bad then as it is good now.

That is the only smart time to buy coins, not now. Get them after the irrational exuberance ends and we enter into irrational crypto pessimism. The thing is though, at that time you won't want to buy and you will be deathly afraid of losing your money the next week. At that time you'll just keep "waiting for it to go down more" until it's too late.

I don't know why everyone sold AMD when their real products (Vega, enterprise processors) weren't even out yet. Also Ryzen did very well.

What to expect from a dumb no-coiner
>>

Biz used to be a lot more diverse. I dunno when it happened, but memecoin threads ended up drowning out less shitty threads en mass. I dunno where the non-coin obsessed people went off to, but it was probably to some subreddits.
>>
I wouldnt mind a /coin/ instead of /biz/ we have been turned to a pump and dump for penny coins.

Also long eth. Short every other coin

Do you ever worry that the crypto market could be a bubble?

Coin pumps became more common once the exchanges came to be
>>
>people quintupling their money within months sometimes even days
>why do you guys keep talking about this stuff, don't you know you can get 12% gains in an index fund, just use real investments guys not memecoins
I'm sorry you hate money and have a mental block against new things.

Emerging market you dumb faggot stay poor investing in a economy on the brink of going to shit
>>
>>2089584
There's a reason why we like markets to grow at that rate, because it means they're stable and don't slaughter the economy in a recession. Extreme gains in a market means somewhere, there are extreme losses. Maybe you can think of some coins that ran 500% and never saw those price levels again.
Not to mention, it's remarkable for 5x true value being generated in days. My answer to this is that it isn't actually being created. The illusion of value is attatched to most crypto, meme magic keeps it alive. Would you bet your savings on a meme?
>>
>>2089543
you either believe in the crypto future or you don't

if you don't, then definitely stay out

if you do, then the moon's the limit, seriously

>Would you bet your savings on a meme?

Yes.
>>
>>2089622
>Would you bet your savings on a meme
Absolutely, if its a good enough meme, memetics is powerful.

How are you expecting the crypto mkt to perform in say, the next 50 years.
It seems like a lot of users tell me they expect the supply of new coins to exhaust completely, meaning their coins will be more valuable as they are now finite.
This works in general but I'm not sure how well it plays out on a national scale.
In order to attach stable, trustworthy value to something you have to get institutions and governments believing in it. Will central banks deal in crypto?
>>2089642
I like the balls but financial security is important
>>2089679
What's worse is that people rarely tell me legitimate reasons why "crypto is the future".
>Asking questions about the obvious and huge risk in crypto
>OH he just doesn't get it feel the magic
NO DOUBT crazy returns are possible, but for as many posts I see of rich coin traders, I see posts from people who've taken significant losses in coins with inflated value backed by nothing but positive sentiment. Mom&pop is retarded and gets slaughtered that environment

For the record, I did trade bitcoin last year, and some GBTC shares. Just a trade to me though.

>How are you expecting the crypto mkt to perform in say, the next 50 years.

I think crypto will have superseded fiat.

Bitcoin will primarily be a long-term storage solution for savings accounts, retirement, IRAs, 401k, etc but won't really utilize its block chain as a currency any longer.

Other coins will fulfill certain niches that they are best tailored to.

Most importantly, crypto will kill advertising incentives which should alleviate a lot of the non-rational forces in the market, thereby helping the economy
