red pill me on credit unions
>>2084733
What's there to redpill you on? They're local banking places. Sometimes they offer better deals than big banks. Sometimes they don't. Don't expect anything particularly fancy in terms of credit cards and the like, but they often offer pretty decent deals.
Everyone reading this needs to close their accounts at large banks and go to credit unions instead. Act local. Own your own services.

You should join one.
Take out some borrowings and put in an etf which follows the nasdaq
Fuck big banks, go credit union.

Most will require you to open a savings account prior to getting a checking account.
There also may be account minimums to open a checking account. From my experience, credit unions play it safe. If your union offers a credit card, don't bother applying unless you have a credit score around 750 or higher.
Mortgages and refinancing are usually pretty solid deals. Make friends with them, and never miss a payment. They'll be your biggest financial ally.
The old credit union I was with was very honest. I enjoyed going in and talking to people who knew me and cared. Very sad that I had to move and close my account with them.
Mine offers zero fees and seamless online banking with their own app and 3 feee interac transfers a month. Courteous staff and zero issues in 5 years. Free coffee in branch and ive lost 11 debit cards and they dont charge me for new ones
