Recommend you stick with large caps starting out, they play a bit nicer and are more forgiving if you screw up.

>large caps
I'm completely clueless on what that means, but I'll look into it. Thank you!

If your portfolio isn't 100% SnapChat you're basically retarded

This is OP btw.
I have a question.
If I have some bitcoin that I would like to use for my own purposes that are unrelated to stocks, how could I order something online that is over $500?
It seems that I can't use bitcoins on Amazon but I want to buy a few things, and digital giftcards can go up to $500 but not any higher.
I'm trying to get a pretty expensive GPU.

Companies with large market capitalizations... AKA big firms. These are your S&P 500 companies. If you want a shortcut, check out Jim Cramer's trust to see what he's invested in. It isn't the be-all-end-all, but it's as good a place to start reading as any other.

It refers to the market cap(italization) basically the total value of money allocated in a stock.
Generally, larger market cap means less volatility (how much the price will move +-) which is a good thing because it protects your downside.
Large caps are also harder to manipulate because you need more $ to move the price.
They're a safer environment for a beginner.

There's these two weed stocks, GWPH and TWMJF, they tend to move together. TWMJF will follow GWPH on a delay of about 20 mins. Tech traders can make some easy $ this way, but it's getting rocky with trump
>>2078627
Snap will hit $11
>>
Final question... This might sound stupid but where do I go to invest? How do I invest in stocks?
>>
>>2078784
Open a brokerage account. Whatever you like. Cheap ones are etrade, fidelity, schwab, interactivebrokers. Robinhood is free but badly reviewed
