I found something odd on eBay, there are sellers who sell huge bricks of foreign money. Why would people buy these? They're too expensive to be collectibles and paper money depreciates in value over time so it's not even a good investment.

Bump, any ideas on what the bricks of money are for? They even sell US dollars, $1 bricks of $100 for $150!

>purchase $100 for $150
For what reason would anyone do this?

A friend of mine sells US dollars with interesting serial numbers. He recently sold 4 dollar bills for $200.

People that acquire money through PayPal, but can't cash it out through a bank will purchase real currency on eBay.

It gets better.

This tbqh, it's just a way for people to """securely""" launder money

Probably either
1. Money Laundering OR
2. An opportunity to sell drugs or other blackmarket goods- If you wanted to sell a kilo of coke on Ebay, how would you do it? You'd need to sell something that has a high price and modest shipping, but importantly, you'd want an item than basically no one besides informed customers would want at that price point.

Undercut him by offering $100 for $125
Easy money!
>>2079862
coke it is.
it's cheaper to purchase a bunch of dollars you then enrich to 'empty notes' with various chemicals than invest on the prerequisites to make perfect cotton + linen slips
then it's just a matter of engraving the slabs and literally printing your own money, turning former $1 bills to fake $100 ones
