What could bring down Bitcoin at the last hurdle?
Nothing will ''bring it down'' it will just phase out of interest over time, as better technology gains more attraction in the market and investment
Newer technology offers investors more potential growth and is what everyone is looking for

If enough governments ban it and impose harsh penalties, it will lose the majority of users. There would still be some ways to get around it but I think most people would think it isn't worth the risk

Government gets mad and bans all tech that is better than theirs

Good point. But for now Bitcoin generates 116M Google results. Ethereum about 5M and Ripple is a common language term and probably less known than Ethereum.
For now Bitcoin is Gutenberg's printing press, the Ford Model T, the New England Patriots, Real Madrid of blockchains. There is a lot of work and genius ahead for any challenger.

Every economy wants to be Silicon valley today. I don't think it's a smart move for any politician to pit himself against cryptocurrencies.

Google searches don't correlate to investor profits though, crypto is a complicated game

Nobody cares about "technology" when it comes to Bitcoin. People use it to store value.
Yes, it a bit slow recently, but the only thing it needs is LN and it should be good to go.
And it will get there in time, big players have shitload of money in it just to let it die.

I didn't claim that. It just proves that Bitcoin has conquered a certain share of people's minds already. When you believe in blockchain why not go with the invention that has been existing for years already without a huge scandal.
As btc goes down humaniq keeps going up. Seems like a good sign, I've already got 50k, prolly gonna get another 100k tonight before the price moons

Yes, but that's what made Bitcoin the beast it is today. The fact it had emerging technology to invest in when others didn't
The fact it was new, untested technology offering the chance of something potentially new and unseen
Times change obviously

You might as well compare Queen Mary II with a fisherboat. Makes no sense. BTC is up more than 10% in the last seven days.
