How is it fun to not do something? Smart, sure, but fun?

I can sorta relate. It's kinda like a highscore type of thing. Now, I'm not loaded, but I have $70k in savings/investments, and it feels damn good. I'm no miser though, and don't think twice about buying mid-to-high range food/clothes/electronics I want.

I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion. I spent the last 2-3 years living like a poor person while saving/investing for no other reason than I like having money. Now I've reached a point where I have a decent amount and it feels nice being able to buy something every once in a while without worrying about cash.
