FB would probably be a decent bet, but the surprisingly low volatility in the aftermath of the SNAP disaster is somewhat concerning. I've also been watching COST for long term lately, but haven't acted on it because there is very good change Amazon could start to affect their sales.
Stay away from gaming companies like ATVI. Pharma companies can be very profitable if you are careful. I would never go for a biotech company, though. There is never any (real) good news about biotech.

Low cost index funds is the best option for at least 99% of all people. And it sounds like you should be included in the 99%.
The market is a zero sum game, not including trading costs.

What's it like making imagination dollaroos? Are you jealous that you can't stand and pee? Do tampons hurt or weirdly feel good?
