Okay, so if you got 1000 H/s of Monero for $819, you'd make $839 this year assuming the price of Monero stayed the same. You'd still have a whole other year of profitable mining after that.

One could argue that if you think the price of Monero would further increase from where it is now, mining it earlier before that price increase makes this a more attractive offer.

The longer run time you have between cost and profitability, the less attractive the mining contract is. ETH wouldn't be the worst if it wasn't for the fact mining is going to be rendered irrelevant by the PoS switch and the mining reward cuts.
