I don't have a secret. I just sell junk I find to make a couple thousand extra dollars a year. I would never do it for a job, it's pretty time consuming for very little profit.

go to the garbage dump for inventory. not joking.

thrift stores know how much their stuff is worth now, so it's hard to buy profitable inventory there

you can make money from selling chinese junk, but it's hard to find profitable items because that market is so saturated, not to mention the upfront cost

whereas at the dump, you can usually find some decent books and electronics, all for free.

that's pretty much how I treat it. Just some extra cash in my spare time. Also a good way to clean out my closet. Mailing stuff is a pain in the ass though. So I try to just have garage sales when I can.
