Easy to get in during the fall if it snows where you are. Tough the winter out, 100% worth it. bonus if you're in a dry climate east of a mountain range in north america.

Security.

You go to a place, usually without any people, and sit around and do nothing for 8 hours.

If you're a university undergrad, you can be an undergrad research assistant.
Pretty lax. No set hours, just attend meetings at a set schedule.

I work tending poker machines and some weeks I walk away with $600 just in tips. That's from 25 hours worked.

It's just about pleasing the customer. If they're Chinese, learn to say "good luck, happy new year" in Mandarin during Chinese New Year. They usually give me at least $10 for that because they think it makes them lucky. Learn them all by name and get the big players and the big tippers their drink asap. You pretty much become their bitch and in return, they throw money at you. You're also working in a relatively low stress job and nice environment.
