It was extremely tight margin trading, I figured BTC and ETH wouldnt fall too low - and being a noobie I couldnt be arsed to set up complex stop losses

Thanks, I know im still going to suceed but I feel a little discouraged because now I only have ~900 to work with. But I know in the end ill just become a much successful trader from this experience. I still have my lively hood and another 1k coming in to invest soon.

well it wasn't the ddos that caused the fluctuation in prices, it was that someone with tons of money sold a zillion shares, triggering stop losses and sells (which pushed the price down further) and then rebought the same shares at a lower price. meanwhile they ddos'd to stop other users from interfering until it was done.
