-- Robinhood FAQs --
- VISIT THE WEBSITE FIRST DAMMIT!! - www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
"People" invest your settled funds when you're not using them, just like banks.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

I know FIZZ is down quite a bit since I last shilled it, but THIS time I think I'm right.
All the fundamentals are still there and management just released some really good projections to counter the (((downgrade))). I really think this will go back to $91 or above. They are definitely going to smash earnings. They seem to have found the bottom, but I'd still exercise caution and use DCA to buy in.

Stocks always drop after dividends, usually by almost as much as the dividend itself.
In this case though it could go up high enough that that won't matter. Hard to say.

Does the exchange automatically lower all orders?
>>

Do not ever do this
>>
>>2032733
quoting investopedia here "When a dividend is paid, several things can happen. The first of these is changes to the price of the security and various items tied to it. On the ex-dividend date, the stock price is adjusted downward by the amount of the dividend by the exchange on which the stock trades. For most dividends this is usually not observed amidst the up and down movements of a normal day's trading. It becomes easily apparent, however, on the ex-dividend dates for larger dividends, such as the $3 payment made by Microsoft in the fall of 2004, which caused shares to fall from $29.97 to $27.34"

Yeah, but does the exchange do it or is it the invisible hand of the market?
In any case, the dividend is so large relative to share price that I'd expect 5% profit minimum, at least if you held for a couple of days after the dividend.

Robinhood fucks up the price of stock. the way their orderflow trades make share price go down.

just letting you all know. I've done extensive testing with market orders and limit orders and stop orders. if you don't believe me i suggest you watch your level 2 on a stock that has little volume and buy some stock on robinhood and see what happens after a couple days.

Robinhood destroys stock price to make money off your stock.

how about you try it and watch how the level 2 behaves.

ive been watching it since i got robinhood over a year ago. The orders used to go through and i thought it was the weirdest thing that they could do that as a broker. then i noticed that the trades started going through in even lots (100 shares) and that the prices would shoot up. there were so many stocks mentioned here that would moon right after. Now i notice that when you put in an order it takes awhile to go through and it will be a few lots (100 shares) and then right after up to a few days after the level 2 would shuffle back and forth big time and the volume would pick up.

If you don't believe me you are more than welcome to test out the theory yourself before trying to claim it as bullshit before even trying it.

let's just agree to disagree. I still think you're an idiot. I watch L2 data and have executed many trades from RH before switching brokers and being able to see my bids from the l2 data. the bids were my whole bid and many times it will partially fill if it bounces off.

As I was typing this I sold my nmm shares in 4 batches of partial fills, at 600, 400, and then the remaining 500, is Interactive Brokers fucking me right now???!?

HOW ABOUT YOU FUCKING TRY IT BEFORE BASHING IT FAGGOT

ive been watching it and testing it out for the past month or two, ive been watching how robinhood trades for over a year and how they have changed their order flow.

you think people are going to be happy when you buy 1 fucking share of something for a dollar and the poor fuck on the other side is paying a commission on that one share. Im sure there where some complaints on the other side.

try it for yourself. watch the order flow go through the tape after you buy

those are even lots.... im talking about when people buy odd lots (2 shares, 7 shares, 56 shares, etc...)
>>

Again, not Robinhood. The orders are sold to a third party, who probably bundles them with other orders.

>you think people are going to be happy when you buy 1 fucking share of something for a dollar and the poor fuck on the other side is paying a commission on that one share. Im sure there where some complaints on the other side.
Is there a single discount broker that requires all trades be in full lots? I know for a fact that Fidelity doesn't, but I haven't used any others.

How come robinhood says i lost over $2000 when i never even lost that much.
>>
>>2032945
no, there isn't thats my point.

there is a reason why brokers have that option of "all or none" because getting partial orders filled sucks when the day ends and you have some shares that didn't sell but you have to pay commission on the partial fill.
>>2032946

how about you try it and watch your level two and the trades go through the tape.

they are buying the shares and trying to sell them higher, they will start stacking the bid then stacking the ask then the bid then the ask, they bring the volume up.

I don't know what they do with the other 99 shares but you think you are that special that they will buy 1 share at .56 just for you? lol they are buying more than 1 share at a time

I agree! that doesn't mean that robinhood doesn't bundle up their orders before sending them off on super fast computers. they are in this to make money. if they end up with 1000s of extra shares im sure they dump them on the market not just hold them and it fucks up the price or something like that.

Momentum died when Wilders lost in NE.
Le Pen is gonna lose too and Merkel is gonna be reelected and the economic growth continues. Trump and Brexit were outliers. Trump is already backpedalling on his policies and I bet Brexit will be a failure too and the Brits will beg to come back after having to deal with economic loses over the next two years.
The refugee crisis will also be over by then and sent back to their countries snd everything will be alright again.

Wilders only lost because someone else adopted almost, but not quite, as radical a position as him, and it made people feel good to vote for that person instead. I see that as a gain honestly.

'trump and brexit were outliers' is the kind of wishful thinking the elite keep repeating, but they arent going to like the alternative. Enough people were pissed off enough to vote for those things, they arent going to go away. They misidentify trump as a problem and not simply a symptom of the problem. Whatever he does from here on out is not much in the way of a victory for them, he could have a heart attack tomorrow and it wouldn't matter at this rate since he has basically been compromised but what his winning represented hasnt changed.

I just looked this up, and against all logic, the number of day trades you made in a day is determined by the number of opening trades (longs or shorts) you made compared to how many total shares you removed from your position. So if you make two buys and each is 50 shares, and then you sell 51 shares, that's two day trades.

This means that the PDT rule, which is supposed to discourage risky behavior, punishes dollar cost averaging.

its all about perspective. a wageslave would kill for those gains. set a goal and when you hit that goal spend a bit to buy yourself a reward to remind you that money buys freedom, not happiness.

the French election isn't a significant event. The hype isn't real it's all been manufactured. Morons have been trying to make something out of nothing for months and that's not how the game works. They will all be taught a valuable lesson soon enough

Euro Index have upward momentum rally currently though. While Macron winning isn't really anything that would trigger momentum by itself it relieves the panic that Le Pen might win and people will happily by stocks again. It's also the last electio before "everything goes back to normal"
>>
t. fags who have already forgot the Trumpening

If you honestly think a Le Pen win would tank or otherwise stall your market, you're a fucking retard. If you're just saying you think Le Pen win tanks or stalls your market, you're one of (((their))) shills and need to kill yourself posthaste
>>

are you dense

a LePen win would definitely affect the euro, negatively

it throws the whole future of the EU into question

you are a fucking (((meme spouting))) idiot

>But you're saying that if I buy 1 share, RH sends an order for 100 and keeps the other 99.
they actually give the other 99 to people for getting others to sign up.

I was talking about France rather than EU.

EU is a rotting corpse possessed by a childish ghost unable to relinquish its corporeal form. I wouldn't consider the EU in long-term planning whatsoever, unless your long term planning involves betting against the EU.
