>distributed secure cloud computing at a fraction of current providers' cost
Why hasn't biz been shilling sia?
Storage is cheap
But more importantly - XBY.
I'm holding onto 88 million siacoins.
I am very very happy.
And it keeps climbing.
Does this coin bring any value to the crypto world? Is having secure cloud computing a valid use? If so, do you see this as a potential $1.00 coin in the next 2-3 years?
Too many coins with similar function / you're betting yours will win
People seem fairly bullish on Sia, but with billions of circulating supply, will we ever see this hit a dollar?

Decentralized storage using crypto as smart contracts to ensure people hold the data for the time demanded or else they don't get paid. It forces competition with the free market and depending on how well it scales, could one day replace Amazon S3 and Dropbox.
It has a great dev team and even the monero team loves them.

No. Maybe in 5-7 years though.
Their roadmap is very impressive of what they desire to accomplish, so in 2-3, it might be very well priced. Maybe not 1$ per coin, but likely in the +100 million marketcap. I was predicting it would reach ~50 million within two years, but it's almost there right now.
