Wtf is this shit? My employer is about to make me become a "black belt"?
Is this some kind of new meme?

MBA's are retarded and have a habit of destroying companies. They have to make up all sorts of complicated terminology to give other people the impression that what they're doing is important.

For some reason it's a valuable credential.
But in reality it's pretty meaningless.

you don't just become a black belt, you have to go through training and actually do projects to get certified
i did the yellow belt training and couldn't be fucked to get certified. don't regret it at all. not sure if it's a meme or not but i've never seen firsthand any impact it actually had on the companies i've worked for

Yeah I got handed the info today. It's like yellow to green to black to "sensei" or some shit. Sounds fucking retarded.
All the stuff in my original pic is things people should be doing anyways. But I guess if the company is going to pay for this retarded shit, I might as well do it.

it's a good way to miss a couple of days of work. you'll probably get free food at the seminar
>adapting statistical analysis to industrial processes in order to increase yield

>literally anything beyond that

I just took a class on this. It's a bunch of stupid garbage. Tons of acronyms to memorize and specialized charts to use. I think the time spent explaining all the new concepts and methods and constructs kind of defeat the point of something designed to increase efficiency. It's like a cult.
I think the only reason this is effective at all is because most of the problems it's applied to could also be fixed with a less rigorous critical thinking/analytical framework. LIke seriously, just think about where your problems are, you don't need 50 acronyms and Japanese loanwords to figure out what's going on.
But whatever, now I can put it on my resume.
