Would you believe it my old lady is telling me to put money into this Walt Disney joint, apparently they can make the cartoon drawings match soundtracks now. Who wants to watch squiggly lines dancing and yacking!? Who!? Flimflam I say!

I don't even think this Talkie thing will last, people laughing, clapping, chewing popcorn. It's too noisey I tell ya. Before you know it the films will be silent again, and that's the way I likes it.

Good thing I bought into that Anglo-French consortium, a buncha swell fellas bought up all these cheap factories in some place in Germany. "Ruhr" I think they calls it. Yep, put my nickels in there a few years back, Krauts were basically begging for 'em. Was cheaper to burn money than wood. Gonna be a good investment, should last for years. Yessir. In 20 years I'll be a millionaire, now they declawed those lousy krauts forever. Never be a war in Europe again, no sir.

Ah yeah, just gotta wait 20 years, then I can retire, maybe I'll move to somewhere warm like Ceylon or Siam.
