There's been talks ranging between 10k all the way to 100k.
The devs haven't set it in stone yet and they are pretty open for opinions.
In my opinion I believe that 25k would work perfectly.
at max coin supply of 70 million that gives us 2,800 Masternodes.
100k only gives us 700.
