Any good articles or full biographies on Elon Memesk? I realized I know nothing about the guy but he's attained Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, Donald Trump, and Kunt Kardashian levels of brand equity!
If you're thinking of starting a company which is in a image based industry (i.e. fashion, lifestyle tech, luxury in general) is this springbok a good person to research?

Who is a better one to read up on: him or Travis Kalanick?

knowledge is power.
dipshit.
i wish people actually started threads with interesting topics instead of trying to incite thinly veiled hero worship / gossip/ flame wars.

EM is more interesting. Kalanick is a very typical silicon valley psychopath, nothing going on upstairs, hence one scandal after another

You are so off base in interpreting my motivations that there is no point in actually replying to the content of your reply.
How about suggesting some reading materials instead of making the in itself cliched whine post about the general low quality of threads...?

In what way would use say EM is different then? He certainly seems to have a higher reputation with the media, but in the early days Uber was quite successful at mustering users as a kind of people's movement lobbying.
Seem to both be taking a book out of Bernays, but perhaps with different objectives.

Read some Peter Theil.

Why?
Isn't he an investor? I'm interested in brands.
bumping with a pretty lady
Is there anything that unites Branson, Jobs et. al. and Musk or are they are huge personal brands for disparate reasons that can't be replicated or conceptually distilled to a common denominator?
Also bump with more pretty things
One more try.
I just want to understand how to game the PR machine for profit, is that so wrong?
