Same, I'm new to the board and have no idea about stocks or anything. I wish there was a faq or something to read up. Are stocks just safer gambling? Are penny stocks good? What is ETH? Should I buy that? Where so I buy it? I just wanted some extra cash to build a new pc.

It's only gambling if you buy the stock without knowing anything about it. The company can be shit and tank tomorrow and you're fucked. If it's a good company that you looked into, it's not gambling.
