True if don't know what you are doing. But if you do know the house has an edge, you can pick your plays around it. Not saying gambling is a smart thing. You will most likely lose money but doing it without a strategy will accelerate the process.

I was thinking recently that forex is actually worse than gambling because you believe you actually have a chance. From one book I read, most brokers don't even bother hedging against your trades unless you've been profitable for three months. Until then, you're considered part of the 'loser' side that they don't have to worry about.
There are plenty of A Book brokers though, in the cayman islands. Or some monstrosity like darwinex where you can buy and sell their automated forex strategies.
